Series 1: Andy Millman is a struggling actor with ambition and a script. Darren Lamb is Andys useless agent and Maggie is his air-headed best friend. Andy dreams of fame and critical acclaim and has his hops pinned on a sitcom script he has written.

Series 2: Andys sitcom has been commissioned by the BBC and things are looking up. However, his dreams of becoming a respected auteur are being eroded on all fronts by Darrens incompetence and the BBCs quest for ratings.
