Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) is a sharp-witted neo-noir crime comedy directed by Shane Black, starring Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan. The film follows Harry Lockhart (Downey Jr.), a petty thief who stumbles into a Hollywood acting audition while fleeing the police and unexpectedly lands a role in a detective movie. Paired with a sarcastic private investigator, “Gay” Perry (Kilmer), for research, Harry soon finds himself entangled in a real-life murder mystery filled with twists, dark humor, and rapid-fire dialogue.
